Congratulations! It's your birthday, a wonderful celebration of all that you've accomplished so far. The question is, how are you going to enjoy it? For many of us, growing older comes with festive occasions that are a little less about the festivities and a little more about cooking and cleaning. Well, not this time! Make your nearest AMF Centre your 'celebration destination' and roll back the years to those carefree days where you could spend your birthday doing whatever you wanted.
Here are four of the ways that you can get in touch with your childhood roots and spend the day partying like it's 1989.
1. Laser skirmish
For most people, there's a certain age where it becomes inappropriate to spend the weekend running around outside, pretending to shoot your best mates with imaginary laser weapons. Here at AMF, we wholeheartedly agree that there's no place for this sort of activity, and strongly urge you to up your game and use real laser weapons. There's nothing quite like a great round of laser tag, and you'll need to bring your A game if you want to succeed at AMF, even if that means knocking your kids down a peg or two and showing them who's the boss.
Chances are, when you were a kid there were probably quite a few birthday parties spent at bowling alleys, practising your roll and hoping to avoid a gutterball. How many parties have you been to recently at the lanes though? If the answer is anything less than a dozen, you're well overdue for a visit, so gear up and teach those pins a lesson.
3. Food, glorious food
When you're young, it's a lot easier to get away with eating whatever you want. Once you're an adult, things change, and after a long day of work you may just find yourself munching on leafy greens as an after-dinner treat. There's nothing wrong with that, but on your birthday, you should be able to let loose and really enjoy a truly satisfying meal. The menu at AMF has all the classics, so treat yourself to a sumptuous feast because quite frankly, you've earned it.
4. The arcade
If there's anyplace better to reconnect with your childhood than an arcade filled with all the classic games, we haven't heard of it. Even if you've let the habit slide and haven't been to the arcade in years, chance are your muscle memory will kick in and you'll still be able to rock that high score.
With these four things, we're convinced that you'll be able to enjoy a great, throwback birthday, without having to worry about cleaning up afterwards.
